Roberto Mancini has accepted an offer from Qatari club Al Sadd. Insider Fabrizio Romano reported this on his social media account, Sport24.az reports.
According to the source, the contract will include a clause allowing the head coach to leave the team in the summer of 2026. This condition was very important for Mancini, and an agreement has been reached between the parties.
The Italian specialist is expected to sign the contract after all the paperwork is completed. The 59-year-old coach most recently coached the Saudi Arabian national team.
It should be noted that Mancini played for Bologna, Sampdoria and Lazio during his career. As a coach, he worked for Lazio, Inter, Manchester City, Galatasaray and Zenit. In 2020, the Italian national team, under the leadership of Mancini, won the European Championship.
