Former "Real" and Brazil defender Roberto Carlos has issued an official statement amid reports circulating online that he was diagnosed with heart problems after undergoing leg surgery. Sport24.az reports that he shared this information on his social media account:
"I would like to clarify the latest information circulating on the internet. I recently underwent a pre-planned preventive medical procedure with my medical team. The procedure was successful, and I feel good. I have not had a heart attack.
Recovery after the surgery is proceeding normally. I look forward to getting back in full shape and continuing my professional and personal activities.
I sincerely thank everyone for their support and concern messages. I want to assure everyone that there is no reason to worry."
