An interview with Robert Prosinečki, the former head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, for Futbolinfo.az
– In the first match of the 2nd qualifying round of the Conference League, "Zira" drew with Croatian team "Hajduk". How do you assess the match?
– I watched the game. "Zira" played very well in the first half. Especially when they scored, their team looked superior. In the second half, "Hajduk" made some changes and equalized. But nothing is over yet, there is 90 minutes of play ahead. Nothing is impossible in football, anything can happen.
– Who do you think is more likely to win?
– As I said, there are still 90 minutes left and the result is open. However, I rate "Hajduk"'s chances of passing higher. Because they are the home team and will play with the support of the fans. The atmosphere at home is always an advantage.
– What do you think about your former player Rashad Sadigov? Can he be a good coach?
– Rashad is one of the best. He was a very good football player, and now he is an excellent head coach. His leadership adds great value to the team.
– Will you meet Rashad Sadigov in Croatia?
– I hope that will happen.
