Polish journalist Krzysztof Stanowski has made scandalous allegations regarding the business activities of world-renowned footballer Robert Lewandowski in the country.
İdman.Biz reports that in 2017, the Polish striker received a subsidy of 40 million zlotys (approximately 18 million manats) from the state budget for the construction of a restaurant in Gizycko, on the shore of Lake Niegocin.
Stanowski noted that it is unacceptable for such a large amount of state aid to be given to a project involving Lewandowski, one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. Moreover, according to the publication "Puls Biznesu", one of the footballer's partners is a person who has been repeatedly convicted of fraud, violence, and possession of explosives.
According to reports, Lewandowski, fearing the scandal, hastily withdrew from the project, as a result of which the allocated funds were sunk, and an unfinished concrete structure in one of the most beautiful places in the Mazury region turned into ruins. The journalist assessed this situation as a "stolen beach" from the residents of Gizycko and damage to nature.
It should be noted that Robert Lewandowski is currently a football player for the Spanish club "Barcelona."
