Polish national team forward Robert Lewandowski has distinguished himself once again in the national team. Sport24.az reports that the 37-year-old forward scored his 86th goal in the match against Finland (3:1) in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
With this result, Lewandowski surpassed UAE national team forward Ali Mabkhout and rose to seventh place in the list of the best goalscorers in the history of national teams.
The footballers ahead of him are: Mokhtar Dahari (Malaysia, 89 goals), Romelu Lukaku (Belgium, 89), Sunil Chhetri (India, 95), Ali Daei (Iran, 108), Lionel Messi (Argentina, 114) and record holder Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal, 140).
