Legendary Polish footballer Robert Lewandowski and his wife Anna were the stars of the night at the "Empire State Building" in New York City.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the event Lewandowski attended coincided with the 107th anniversary of Poland's independence. The ceremony was organized by the Polish Consulate in New York. Similar events are held by Polish communities around the world on November 11.
Lewandowski, wearing a serious gray double-breasted suit, was honored to light up the Empire State Building in the white and red colors of the Polish flag. It should be noted that he was the first Polish celebrity to be honored with such an honor.
After the event, Robert held a closed meeting at the Polish Consulate with members of the Polish Young Professionals organization. He held discussions on leadership, discipline, and the role of athletes as ambassadors of their countries. Lewandowski then flew from New York to Warsaw, where he will join his national team in the coming days, which will play the final matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round.
