Liverpool's 16-year-old winger, Rio Nqumoa, has become the second youngest player to score a winning goal in Premier League history.
İdman.biz reports that Nqumoa, a member of the England U-17 national team, distinguished himself in the second round of the Premier League against Newcastle (3:2).
The player, who replaced Cody Gakpo in the 90+6th minute when the score was 2:2, scored just four minutes later, earning his team 3 points.
According to "Opta", Nqumoa, at the age of 16 years and 361 days, came very close to Wayne Rooney's record. Rooney became the youngest player to secure victory with a goal against Arsenal for Everton in 2002. Nqumoa was only one day older than Rooney was at that time.
