The Rio de Janeiro city hall has filed a tax claim against "Cruzeiro" midfielder Gerson for 54,000 Brazilian reais (€8,650) in unpaid taxes.
Idman.Biz reports, citing ESPN, that if the player does not pay this amount, his Brazilian accounts and property may be confiscated.
Earlier, it was reported in the press that "Flamengo" had also filed a claim against the Brazilian and was planning to sue him for more than 42.7 million reais (€6.5 million). The publication tried to contact the player's father and agent but was unable to do so.
