The results of the voting in the presidential elections in "Barcelona" have been announced. Sport24.az reports that the Catalan club's official website has shared information about this.
As a result of the vote, the current president of the club, Joan Laporta, won by collecting 68.18% of the votes. He won the trust of 32,934 voters. Laporta's rival, Viktor Font, received only 29.78 percent of the votes, or 14,385 people voted in his favor. 984 of the ballots (2.04%) remained blank.
Thus, Laporta has secured the presidency for the third term. He headed the "blaugrana" from 2003 to 2010 and from 2021 to 2026. The winner will take office on July 1 and will lead the Catalan club until 2031.
