The information spread about the death of Iso Kanyenda, a former football player who wore the uniform of the Russian football clubs "Lokomotiv" and "Rostov", turned out to be false.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to KP.ru that the local "Luntha Television" channel broadcast the news about I. Kanyenda's death.
However, today the TV channel denied the information and apologized to the player's family, as well as to the viewers.
According to the clarified information, Kanyenda is currently being treated for liver cancer in Great Britain. His official representatives have confirmed that his condition is serious, but have stated that the football player continues to fight the disease.
Kanyenda's career was connected with several Russian clubs. He wore the uniforms of teams such as "KamAZ", Volgograd "Rotor", and in 2005 he won the bronze medal of the Russian championship with Moscow "Lokomotiv". The football player finished his sports career in 2017 in the Malawian club "Be Forward Wanderers".
