Renovation work has intensified at the Khankendi stadium.
The public relations department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly regions informed "Report" about this.
In the process of preparation for the III CIS Games, the construction process has been accelerated in the city of Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly regions. The construction of the stadium is planned to be completed by September of this year.
The Khankendi stadium, with a capacity of 15,000 spectators, was put into operation in 1956. During the Soviet era, Aghdam's "Karabakh" club played its home games in this arena. The stadium has dressing rooms, conference rooms, medical facilities, rooms for referees, and technical staff. At the same time, according to the project, ticket sales, as well as various public catering facilities, above-ground parking lots, and control and release points will be created inside the stadium.
It should be noted that the archery competitions of the III CIS Games are planned to be held at the Khankendi city stadium in September.
