According to "Report", this happened during the national team's away match against Northern Ireland in 2016.
The referee was in charge during the qualifying round match for the 2018 World Cup. The match ended with a 4-0 victory for the home team.
The 43-year-old referee has been appointed to international matches since 2010. He has officiated at the European Championships in 2016, 2021 and 2024, the World Cups in 2018 and 2022, and UEFA Champions League group stage (now League stage) matches since 2014.
It should be noted that the "Qarabag" - "Ferencváros" match will start on August 27 at 20:45 at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium. In the first leg, which took place away, the "stallions" won - 3:1.
