Khankendi city stadium is being reconstructed.
According to Idman.biz, the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, the work has intensified in the run-up to the III CIS Games.
The construction of the stadium is scheduled to be completed by September this year. In general, Khankendi stadium with a capacity of 15,000 spectators was put into operation in 1956. During the Soviet era, Aghdam's "Qarabagh" club played its home games at this stadium.
The arena will have rooms for players to change, conference, medical, referees, and technical staff. At the same time, according to the project, ticket sales, as well as various public catering facilities, above-ground parking lots, and control and exit points will be created inside the stadium.
It should be noted that the archery competitions of the III CIS Games are planned to be held at the Khankendi city stadium in September.
