Ukraine national team head coach Serhiy Rebrov spoke about the venue for the team's home matches in the play-off stage of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Sport24.az reports that Rebrov made a statement to the Ukrainian press about this:
"If we pass the Swedish barrier, we will not play against Poland in Poland. This is not normal. We are currently choosing a venue and will decide where we will hold these games. But I don't think this match will be in Poland."
Ukraine played most of their home matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers at Polish stadiums - Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw.
It should be noted that in the semi-final of the play-off stage, Ukraine will face Sweden, and if they reach the final, they will face the winner of the Poland-Albania match.
