Azerbaijani national team striker Mahir Emreli is struggling to break into the starting lineup at "Kaiserslautern".
Idman.biz reports that the team's head coach, Torsten Lieberknecht, has made a statement regarding the player's lack of appearances:
"I always try to reward good play. It is not essential for Mahir to be in the starting lineup right now. The team has gained some momentum. In such cases, the player has to stay somewhat in the background and work harder to return to the squad."
The German press writes that Mahir had similar problems earlier in "Nuremberg".
It should be noted that "Kaiserslautern" is currently in 2nd place in the 2nd Bundesliga with 12 points, only 1 point behind the leader.
