"Real" continues its search to strengthen its midfield after the departure of Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos. According to Sport24.az, the club's management has not yet been able to find a player who can fully balance the team's game in the center of the field.
One of the options for the La Liga giant is Ruben Neves, who plays for Al-Hilal. The Portuguese footballer's contract with the Saudi Arabian club expires at the end of the current season. Neves is not inclined to extend his contract with the club. The Madrid representative is considering the possibility of adding the 28-year-old midfielder to their squad in the summer on a free agent status.
If there is interest from other clubs, Al-Hilal is ready to release the experienced player for a sum of around 15-20 million euros during the winter transfer window.
Ruben Neves moved to the Saudi Arabian championship from Wolverhampton in the summer of 2023 for 55 million euros. Since then, he has played 107 matches in all tournaments for Al-Hilal, scoring 14 goals and providing 25 assists.
