According to "The Athletic", "Real Madrid" has blocked defender Fran Garcia's loan to "Bournemouth".
Idman.Biz reports that the player saw the English club as a great opportunity to gain much-needed playing time. He indicated at the Valdebebas training ground that the likelihood of a move to the Premier League club was high, but Madrid finally decided not to let him go on Friday.
After the transfer was rejected, the 26-year-old Spaniard requested individual training on Saturday. The club rejected his request, and the player completed the first 15 minutes open to the media in a group setting, after which he continued his training alone.
According to sources familiar with the situation, Garcia spoke with coach Alvaro Arbeloa before making the transfer. "Real Madrid's" position was to keep all players except Endrick in January.
The defender, whose contract runs until 2027, hopes to find a team this summer that will offer him more playing time.
This season, Fran has played seven games in La Liga and scored one goal.
