"Real Madrid" and A22, the company developing the Super League project, are planning to file a €4.5 billion claim against UEFA.
According to İdman.Biz, citing AS, the decision was made after the Madrid court rejected UEFA's appeal.
Lawyers for the Madrid club and A22 are already preparing the documents. The claim will demand compensation for reputational damage and potential loss of profits, which the parties attribute to UEFA's actions hindering the implementation of the Super League project.
It is worth recalling that in May 2024, the Madrid Commercial Court ruled that FIFA and UEFA were abusing their dominant position and hindering free competition in the football market. The court ordered the organizations to cease such actions and eliminate their consequences.
