The Spanish Super Cup semi-final match between "Atletico Madrid" and "Real Madrid" has ended.
Idman.Biz reports that the teams played at the "King Abdullah Sports City" stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. "Real Madrid" won with a score of 2:1.
Real Madrid defender Federico Valverde opened the scoring in the second minute. Los Blancos midfielder Rodrigo doubled his team's lead in the 55th minute. Atletico striker Alexander Sørloth reduced the deficit in the 58th minute, setting the final score.
Yesterday, in the other semi-final match, "Barcelona" and "Athletic Bilbao" faced each other. The game ended 5:0 in favor of the Catalan team. Thus, "Barcelona" and "Real Madrid" will face each other in the tournament final on January 11.
"Barcelona" is the current holder of the Spanish Super Cup. In the final of the 2025 tournament, the team defeated "Real Madrid" with a score of 5:2.
