German football club "Leipzig" has increased its asking price for Ivorian winger Yan Diomande. The Bundesliga representative is now demanding more than 100 million euros (approximately 200 million AZN) for the player, who is a target for "Liverpool".
İdman.Biz reports that the German club no longer has to sell players to improve its financial situation. This is due to the team largely securing a Champions League spot for next season. Currently, "Leipzig" is in third place with 59 points with four rounds remaining until the end of the championship.
In addition, the club's management plans to renew the contract terms of the 19-year-old footballer and increase his salary. The goal is to keep Diomande in the team until at least the summer of 2027. Nevertheless, the player is not in an "untouchable" status and future attractive offers may influence the transfer decision.
It should be noted that Yan Diomande has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 29 Bundesliga games this season.
