"Finishing the season in 7th place is a good result for us." These words were said by Shamakhi footballer Rauf Rustamli in his statement to Sport24.az, while sharing his thoughts on the match against Araz-Nakhchivan (0:1) in the 35th round of the Misli Premier League.
Rustamli stated that Shamakhi achieved its main goal this season:
"The main goal set at the beginning of the season was to maintain our place in the Premier League, which we managed to do. We have a friendly team, and this has influenced the result. We have a match against Qarabag in the next round. Their strength is well known, and they have already secured the championship. Nevertheless, we will try to achieve a successful result with a spectacular game. We will try to please our fans in the last home game of the season."
It should be noted that Shamakhi has secured its 7th place in the Misli Premier League with one round remaining.
