Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of "Manchester United", opposed the transfer of Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski to the team.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to "Mirror" that "United" head coach Ruben Amorim believed that the 37-year-old striker's experience and leadership qualities would be beneficial to the team, as well as to the development of young players.
However, Jim Ratcliffe rejected this idea, stating that the club no longer plans to transfer players who are in the final stage of their careers.
It should be noted that the Polish footballer's contract with the Catalan club will expire in the summer of 2026.
