Rashad Sadygov apologized to "Neftchi": Statement regarding the Konate incident

After the match "Zira" - "Neftchi" (1:1), held within the XXVIII round of the Misli Premier League, the head coach of the home team, Rashad Sadygov, spoke at a press conference. Sport24.az reports that the expert voiced these thoughts about the game:

– Even before the game, we knew that there would be an interesting and tense struggle. Two rivals of equal strength were facing each other. We started badly, gave goal episodes due to mistakes, and equalized the game in the middle of the first half. We started the second half very well, actively, and increased the speed. It was disappointing to concede a goal in the minutes when we were playing well. Nevertheless, the reaction of the players against a rival like "Neftchi" was amazing. Scoring in the last minutes was extremely important, and it is a source of pride for me. After the game, I apologized to any of the "Neftchi" players I saw. I didn't see the episode, but they said that Konate celebrated the goal near the opponent's reserve bench. Therefore, I take this opportunity to apologize to the opponent.

– What can you say about the goal episode? Your player was in a passive offside position. 

– I can't say anything for sure because I haven't watched the episode.

– When you saw it, was the "Neftchi" side protesting because of the goal celebration or because of the offside position? 

– When I asked the referees, they told me that the goal was recorded. They were focused on the conflict on the sidelines.
