The U-19 team of "Qarabağ" wants to show good football and achieve results in the UEFA Youth League.
This was stated to "Report" by the team's head coach Rashad Sadiqov.
He stated that the tournament will be a great experience for the football players:
"We will compete in the Youth League because the main team of "Qarabağ" qualified for the main stage of the Champions League. Our goals will be determined after the games start. We will talk about it after the first matches. We can think about the next stage, but how much strength do we have for that? Time will tell. The children will participate in such a big tournament for the first time. Our U-19 team participated in the competition in 2017. We intend to show good football and achieve results."
The expert said that foreign players could also be involved in the staff:
"Transfer works are ongoing. There is also little time left. It is a bit difficult to bring a player from other countries. We want to transfer, but we are waiting for now. If we could bring 2-3 football players, we would strengthen the team and perform better."
R. Sadiqov added that they are watching the games of their opponents:
"We watched the matches of the last season. This season is just starting. The age groups are also changing in some teams. The players we watched may not be there. In this case, it is difficult to analyze."
It should be noted that the U-19 team of "Qarabağ" will face "Benfica" (Portugal), "Athletic" (Spain) and "Napoli" away, and "Copenhagen" (Denmark), "Chelsea" (England) and "Ajax" (Netherlands) at home in the UEFA Youth League.
