"Zira" was closer to victory in the match against Croatian representative "Hajduk".
"Report" reports that the head coach of "Zira" Rashad Sadigov said this at the press conference after the first match with "Hajduk" in the II qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
He said that they fought against a strong opponent:
"Both teams were eager on the field. We witnessed an interesting match. In the first half, the sides were waiting for mistakes from each other. The opponent made this mistake, and we scored a goal. We also had opportunities to score the second goal, but unfortunately, we couldn't take advantage of them. I think we were the side closer to victory. This score means nothing before the return match. The fate of the pair will be decided in Croatia. We want to win away".
It should be noted that the "Zira" - "Hajduk" match, which took place at the 8th kilometer stadium, ended in a draw - 1:1. The return match between the teams will start on July 31 at 23:00 Baku time at "Polyud Stadium".
