Azerbaijan's U-21 national football team clearly demonstrated on the field what they are capable of in the match against Bulgaria in the qualifying round of the European Championship.
"Report" reports that this was stated by the head coach of U-21, Rashad Eyyubov, in his statement to the AFFA press service after the game.
He commented on the goalless match:
"Our team performed more actively in this match. The players clearly demonstrated on the field today what they are capable of. They were not afraid of either the opponent or the atmosphere in the stadium. We performed very well in the first half and we mainly controlled the ball. After the break, the opponent's pressure increased, which is natural. I think a draw is a fair result. Both teams had dangerous episodes. Overall, I saw positive aspects in my team's performance. With such a foundation, we can look to the future positively."
It should be noted that Azerbaijan's U-21 team will play its next group match at home against the Czech Republic on September 25.
