Rashad Abdullayev, the head coach of "Neftchi-2", is undergoing training at the Turkish club "Göztepe". According to Sport24.az, the 44-year-old specialist visited the brotherly country as part of the "PRO" category coaching courses.
We talked to him about his impressions of the trip:
"I have been participating in the training sessions of "Göztepe" since yesterday. My initial impressions are positive. The team has resumed training after the victory over "Gençlerbirliği". I met with head coach Stanimir Stoilov, they welcomed me very warmly. In general, we compared Azerbaijani and Turkish football. I have to do an internship for a week to get the "PRO" category."
Abdullayev added that the Izmir representative has two important matches ahead:
"I will also be in the stands at these matches. After these meetings, I will have questions for the head coach mainly about the team's preparation. Stanimir Stoilov emphasized a lot how deeply rooted "Neftchi" is. As we know, "Göztepe" was also the first team to represent Turkey in Europe. We had conversations about this."
It should be noted that "Neftchi-2", coached by Abdullayev, leads the tournament table with 47 points collected in 22 rounds in the Reserve League.
