"As a reserve team, we primarily focus on the development of young players. I was satisfied with them this season. Experts and football people from the outside express positive opinions about our team. Our players have become of interest to some clubs, which is also a development." These words were said by Rashad Abdullayev, the head coach of "Neftchi-2," in an interview with Sport24.az.
The coach of the capital club's second team evaluated the season as follows:
"True, we couldn't become champions. Although we didn't have a championship goal, as "Neftchi," we always wanted to be in a high place. There were some shortcomings in the players. I told them this myself. Agadadash Salyanski came from the main team and put us in a bad situation. He is our trainee, a player we believed in. He knew the children's efforts even more. No player in the squad could allow such an action. Discipline is paramount where I work. Agadadash's action was the turning point of the match. It nullified everyone's efforts."
It should be noted that "Sabah-2" became the champion in the Reserve League.
