"For me, the most unforgettable game in "Neftchi" is the match against "Pyunik" in Moscow."
This was stated by the former president of the Professional Football League (PFL) and former vice-president of "Neftchi", Ramin Musayev.
He shared his memories about "Neftchi", which celebrates its 89th anniversary today.
"Neftchi" is the history of Azerbaijani football. It is true that the flagship is stumbling a bit now, but probably in the coming years, the "white-blacks" will be at the top again. Next year is the 90th anniversary. Although it seems difficult for the team to give the fans a championship, it is a mission that can be accomplished. Those working at the club should work for quality, not for advertising. We worked at "Neftchi" in the 2004-2008 season. Our staff was only 6-7 people. This includes the press secretary. Today, the number of employees in the club is more than 40. Those working in the club must love the team, and I hope they love "Neftchi" too. Those who work purely for salary and money can never benefit the team," he said in a statement to sport24.az.
It should be noted that Ramin Musayev worked as the vice-president of "Neftchi" in 2004 - 2008. Later, he was the president of PFL until 2022.
