"Sabah's defeat to "Imishli" was unexpected not only for me, but for almost everyone." These words were said by Ramin Guliyev, the former head coach of "Sabah", in his statement to Sport24.az.
He called the minimal defeat of his former team to "Imishli" in the 3rd round of the Misli Premier League a surprise:
"Imishli" is a new team in the Premier League. They inevitably come out more motivated for the game. That's why they give their all on the field. It was possible that "Sabah" might have become complacent before the match, but this was unacceptable. A team playing for high places must approach such a match more responsibly. The championship is a long marathon. This defeat was a "cold shower" for the players. There are 4-5 teams that deserve to play in the European Cups, both in terms of squad and conditions, and "Sabah" is one of them. It seems to me that at the end of the season this team will be in the top three. The break due to the national teams will benefit the Masazir representative. Because there will be enough time during this break to eliminate the shortcomings."
It should be noted that "Sabah" lost to "Imishli" in the 3rd round of the Misli Premier League - 0:1.
