Ramin Ahmadov, who spent the past season in Kyrgyzstan with "Alay", will play for "Ozgon" this year.
Idman.Biz reports that the Azerbaijani midfielder commented on his decision to stay in Kyrgyzstan to sportal.az.
He spoke about agreeing with "Ozgon" despite receiving offers from different clubs:
"The time I spent in "Alay" was very valuable to me, and I will always have respect for the club and the fans. I made this decision for my own development and future goals. I always wish "Alay" success. Yes, the fact that there are many Azerbaijani football players in my new team "Ozgon" is a positive thing for us. We understand each other more quickly, and communication is easier on and off the field. But at the same time, we are all professionals, and the main goal is the success of the club. Regardless of nationality, everyone will give their maximum for the team. "Ozgon" aims to be stronger and more ambitious this season. The club management has made serious plans, and the squad is being formed purposefully. New players will be added, competition will increase, and the team has set big goals, and we will try to do our best to prove it on the field."
"After leaving "Alay", there were contacts from Azerbaijan. In any case, in the end, I preferred to come back here. As for the Kyrgyz championship, there has been a serious investment in football in recent years. The number of teams increases every year, last year there were 14 teams, and from the new season the number became 16. Competition has increased, the number of ambitious teams has increased this year, and it will be a more interesting season. It will be difficult and challenging for all teams."
