The Azerbaijani national team aims to return from Iceland with a good result.
"Report"'s correspondent dispatched to Reykjavik reports that this was stated by Rahman Dashdemirov, a football player of the Azerbaijani national team, in a statement to journalists.
He spoke about the qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup against the Icelandic national team tomorrow:
"We have prepared seriously for the game. We believe that the result will be successful for us tomorrow. We have studied the weak and strong sides of the opponent. We don't want to return empty-handed from Iceland to Baku. We aim to get a result and earn points."
It should be noted that the Iceland-Azerbaijan match, which will take place on September 5, will start at 22:45 Baku time.
