Rahil Mammadov, a football player of the "Araz-Nakhchivan" club who dropped out of the Azerbaijani national team, has a serious injury.
According to information obtained by "Report", the 29-year-old defender has a problem in his groin area.
The duration of his absence from the green fields will be determined after medical examinations. R.Mammadov will most likely not be able to appear on the field until the end of 2025.
He was injured during training before the 2026 World Cup qualifying match against the Ukrainian national team.
It should be noted that the Ukraine-Azerbaijan game held in Krakow, Poland, ended with a 2:1 victory for the opponent.
