"I don't know if there is a financial problem. The championship is about to start and our team has not negotiated with any player." These words were said by Rahid Amirguliyev, the captain of "Shahdag Gusar", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced football player stated that the future of the team, which should compete in the First League next season, is in question:
"We had a meeting with the management and they told us to wait. I don't know what goal will be set for the team. We have told the management how much budget and how many players are needed. But they say it is being discussed. That is, the fate of "Shahdag Gusar" is unknown. All teams in the First League are making transfers, but we are in a waiting position. We cannot make transfers because the budget is not clear. There is no one to answer. My contract has expired. We have not had any talks about staying. I am resting for now. Although there are many questions, there is no one to answer. Although the team should have already gathered and started training."
It should be noted that "Shahdag Gusar", which competed in the Second League last "football year", finished the season as the champion.
