Feyenoord will have to train abroad because Raheem Sterling does not have a work permit in the Netherlands.
Idman.Biz reports that the English winger joined the Rotterdam club on February 12. Due to the work permit issue, the player was unable to play in the match against Go Ahead Eagles on February 15 and was not allowed to train with his team in the country.
Feyenoord head coach Robin van Persie announced that the team will hold a short training camp in Belgium this week.
"Training abroad is possible. We are doing it for him [Sterling], but I also want to work on the development of our team. We can have nice conversations and have fun together.
He will return to training tomorrow [Tuesday]. We will monitor his physical condition every week. It will take some time, but it makes sense to me because he hasn't played for six months," said van Persie.
