Barcelona midfielder Rafinha has voiced criticism regarding the Club World Cup. The Brazilian footballer spoke to L'Equipe about it:
"I think we should be on vacation, shouldn't we? I am speaking as a player from a European club. Giving up vacation is difficult for us, because we have a right to it. Everyone deserves at least three weeks or a month of rest. But many participants in the Club World Cup will not get that. And nobody asked the players for their opinion regarding the tournament schedule."
I am on vacation now, other players should also be on vacation. They won the Champions League and barely had time to celebrate it. After that, they played for the national team and immediately went to the Club World Cup without a break."
It should be noted that Barcelona is not currently participating in the Club World Cup, which is being held in the USA.
