"Qarabagh" players must show character in the match against "Shkendija".
"Report" informs that the head coach of "Qarabagh" Gurban Gurbanov said this at a press conference before the first match against "Shkendija" (North Macedonia) in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.
The experienced specialist said that they are seriously preparing for the away match:
"Tomorrow we will play a very difficult game. Holding the first meeting in North Macedonia is an advantage for the opponent. After two consecutive victories in the Champions League, they will perform with high morale in their own stadium. We will fight against a motivated team. We are fully prepared for tomorrow's game. Tomorrow we must show our character against this team. We want to return to Baku with a favorable result."
He said that he watched the two matches of "Shkendija" against FCSB (Romania) in the second qualifying round of the Champions League:
"In the current situation, there is no need to reveal the weak and strong sides of our opponent. We just need to implement the game plan we have built in our minds. We should not allow the opponent to play the game they want. We must be careful for 90 minutes against "Shkendija".
It should be noted that the first match, which will be held on August 5 at the "Todor Proeski" stadium in North Macedonia, will start at 22:00 Baku time. The return match, which will be held on August 12 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium, will start at 20:00.
