Gurban Gurbanov has won his 500th victory as head coach. Sport24.az reports with reference to the official website of the Professional Football League that the experienced specialist's anniversary coincided with the VII round of the League stage of the Champions League.
The Azerbaijani champion won 3:2 in the home match against Eintracht (Frankfurt, Germany). This was the 471st victory of "Qarabağ" under Gurbanov's coaching. The specialist has 25 victories with "Neftchi" and 4 victories with the Azerbaijan national team. Of the 496 victories in his club career, 364 were recorded in the Premier League, 54 in the national cup, and 78 in European Cups. The specialist's 500th victory coincided with the 857th match of his career. He has won 58.34 percent of the games played with his teams.
It should be noted that Gurbanov won his first victory as head coach in the 2006/2007 season at the helm of "Neftchi". On August 6, 2006, the capital's representative, hosting "Ganjlerbirliyi", won with a big score – 6:1.
