Qismat Aliyev: I believe we will pass the stage with "Hajduk"

Idman.biz reports that these words were said by Qismat Aliyev, the captain of "Zira", in his statement to QOL.az.

He spoke about their opponents "Hajduk" in the 2nd qualifying round of the Conference League: "The place of Croatia in world football is known to all of us. "Hajduk" is one of the strongest teams in the country. They finished the season only 2 points behind the champion team. They even lost the championship at the last moment."

Aliyev stated that despite the strength of the Croatian club, he believes they will pass the stage: "The mood in our team is excellent. We are hoping for a good result. There is still time before the game. We will have the opportunity to analyze the opponent and watch their games. After that, we can get to know the opponent better. I believe that in the end we will pass the stage and make our fans happy."

Regarding the prospects of advancing in the Conference League, Aliyev said: "We want to go as far as possible in the tournament. But first of all, we are thinking about the game with "Hajduk". If we can pass the opponent, we can talk about it. We have a good team. We will try to achieve the maximum result."

It should be noted that "Zira" will face "Hajduk" at home on July 24 and away on July 31.
