"Qarabag's" opponent in the UEFA Champions League, "Benfica" (Portugal), has strengthened its squad with a new football player.
"Report" informs that the Lisbon representative has attracted Ukrainian "Shakhtar" club's midfielder Georgi Sudakov to its ranks.
The Portuguese club has leased the 22-year-old player until the end of the current season. According to the terms of the contract, the club may also make a one-time transfer of Sudakov next summer, if desired.
Georgi Sudakov, who played a total of 148 games for Shakhtar, scored 35 goals. The member of the Ukrainian national team scored 3 goals in 29 games for the national team.
It should be noted that "Qarabag" will play its first match in the main stage of the Champions League on September 16 against "Benfica" on the road. The match will start at 23:00 Baku time.
