Liverpool, the English club and opponent of Aghdam's "Qarabag" in the Champions League, is interested in Bayern Munich and French national team midfielder Michael Olise. The club is considering him as a possible alternative to Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo.
According to Idman.Biz, citing Daily Mail, negotiations stalled after it became known that Semenyo's transfer would be valued at more than £75 million.
Currently, Liverpool management is looking for a player who can replace Mohamed Salah for a long time. The 33-year-old Egyptian striker's contract with the club runs until 2027. Despite his age, Salah remains a key figure in Arne Slot's team, but the Mersisayd club is already preparing the ground for the team's renewal in the future.
Olise transferred from Crystal Palace to Bayern in 2024 and quickly became one of the leaders of the Munich club. Last season, the French player scored 20 goals, provided four assists, and made his debut for the French national team. According to Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl, the player's contract runs until 2029 and there is no exit fee clause; the club has no intention of parting with the player.
It should be noted that Olise participated in the recent World Cup 2026 qualifying match between France and Azerbaijan (3:0) in Paris. Although the French player did not score a goal, he received high marks from experts. The Bayern player may also participate in the return match with the Azerbaijani team as part of the French national team. This game will be held in Baku on November 16, 2025.
Liverpool is the opponent of Aghdam's "Qarabag" in the Champions League - Gurban Gurbanov's team will face the Mersisayd club away on January 28, 2026.
