"Athletic Bilbao" has announced on its official website that they have received permission from FIFA to register Al-Nassr defender Aymeric Laporte.
İdman.biz reports this with reference to the club's official website.
"Athletic Bilbao" and "Al-Nassr" had previously reached an agreement on a 3-year contract and a transfer fee of 10 million euros. However, the deal fell through due to delays in documents from the Saudi Federation.
According to reports, FIFA has authorized the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to obtain the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
Once the certificate is issued, "Athletic" will be able to add the player to its squad.
It is worth noting that "Athletic" is a rival of "Qarabagh" in the group stage of the Champions League. The clubs will face each other in Bilbao on October 22.
