Aftandil Hajiyev, coordinator of the "Qarabağ" Football Academy, together with Azerbaijani coach Etibar Ibrahimov, visited Nigeria as part of the OBASA Games 2025 tournament.
İdman.Biz reports that Aftandil Hajiyev watched the semi-final and final stages of the tournament for a week during his visit.
The main purpose of the visit was to observe talented young football players, analyze them, hold meetings with local coaches, as well as provide general information about the "Qarabağ" Football Club, and conduct detailed discussions about the academy's methodology, working principles, and development model.
After the tournament, selection games between U19 teams were also watched. As a result of the observations, the performance of 8 football players was positively evaluated, and preliminary discussions were held regarding their future invitation to Azerbaijan.
