"Qarabag" coach Huseyn Seyidov has completed an internship program at the Turkish club "Galatasaray".
Idman.Biz reports that the press service of the Aghdam representative has released information about this.
The specialist said in a statement on the club's website that the trip was very important for him both professionally and personally: "I thank everyone, including the club's CEO and Board member Emrah Çelikel and head coach Gurban Gurbanov, for creating this opportunity. It was a very valuable experience for me. I both tested myself, saw what I am capable of, and realized in which areas I need to improve my knowledge. I was received very warmly at "Galatasaray". We spent up to 10 hours a day together with head coach Okan Buruk and goalkeeper coach Fadıl Koşutan. We discussed many issues, from video analysis to different approaches to each goalkeeper. I had the opportunity to closely follow and learn about the trends of modern football."
He noted that the work process with Fadıl Koşutan was particularly useful for him: "Fadıl Koşutan is a UEFA PRO category coach. We had long discussions with him during the day. He is a specialist who has worked with Taffarel and Muslera for many years. On the last day, we were already in a completely open exchange of views. He said that I came from such a long distance purely for learning purposes and appreciated it very much. This attitude was an additional motivation for me. Frankly, I returned from there with great confidence."
Seyidov also spoke about the differences between "Galatasaray" and "Qarabag": "Of course, there are certain differences. "Galatasaray" adopts European innovations very quickly and applies them to its system. In this regard, they are a few steps ahead of us. But we have already started applying these innovations in "Qarabag" as well. In terms of the overall training process, there is no significant difference. It's just that the conditions created for goalkeeper coaches are different there. They have individual rooms, special equipment and analysis capabilities. This directly affects the quality of work."
He stated that he also conveyed his suggestions to the club management in this direction: "Our management approached this issue very positively and provided support. I think this will further increase the effectiveness of our work. This trip was a big step for me both in terms of experience and motivation. I have already started applying the knowledge and experience I have gained in our team."
