The 1/4 final stage of the Bizon Azerbaijan Cup will start on February 5. According to Sport24.az, two coaches will not be in the technical zone in the first matches of this round due to punishment.
These are Vugar Mammad from "Zira" and Mushfig Huseynov from "Qarabag".
Huseynov was penalized in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup last season, which they lost to "Sabah". The 55-year-old specialist received a two-match ban for receiving a straight red card in the 120th minute of last year's match. He served one of his penalties in the 1/8 final game against "Karvan-Yevlakh", which they won with three unanswered goals.
Vugar Mammad has a more severe penalty. The assistant coach received a 20-match ban after the match with "Sumgayit" in 2021, when he worked in "Sabail". He faced this situation for hitting the assistant referee of the game.
It should be noted that "Qarabag" will face "Shamakhi" in the 1/4 finals, and "Zira" will face "Sumgayit".
