"Qarabag" and "Sabah" Fined in Azerbaijan Cup Final

A meeting of the AFFA Disciplinary Committee was held. Sport24.az reports that the legal assessment was given to the events that took place in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup - "Qarabag" - "Sabah" match.

In the final of the Azerbaijan Cup "Qarabag" - "Sabah" match on 31.05.2025, the "Qarabag" club should be fined 700 manats for receiving 4 yellow cards (Article 37);

On 31.05.2025, in the 120th minute of the Azerbaijan Cup final "Qarabag" - "Sabah" match, the coach of the "Qarabag" club, Mushfig Huseynov, entered the field and protested against the referee's decision, so he was given a direct red card and was suspended for 2 games, and the "Qarabag" club was fined 1500 manats (Article 42.3);

On 31.05.2025, in the 120th minute of the Azerbaijan Cup final "Qarabag" - "Sabah" match, the number 7 football player of the "Qarabag" club, Yassin Benzia, was suspended for 5 games for insulting the referee and then trying to physically pressure them after receiving a direct red card, and the "Qarabag" club was fined 3000 manats (Article 43.3, 1);

On 31.05.2025, the "Qarabag" club was fined 1500 manats for the use of pyrotechnics by the fans of the "Qarabag" club in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup "Qarabag" - "Sabah" match (Article 52.2);

On 31.05.2025, the "Sabah" club was fined 700 manats for receiving yellow cards by 5 football players of the "Sabah" club in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup "Qarabag" - "Sabah" match (Article 37);

On 31.05.2025, the "Sabah" club was fined 1500 manats for the use of pyrotechnics by the fans of the "Sabah" club in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup "Qarabag" - "Sabah" match (Article 52.2);
