PSG is the first French club to reach the UEFA Champions League final twice since the format changed in the 1992/1993 season.
"Report" reports with reference to "Opta Sport" that this became a reality after the return match between PSG and "Arsenal" (England) in the semi-final of this tournament.
The Paris club won the match held yesterday and qualified for the final based on the results of two matches (1:0, 2:1).
Previously, French clubs "Marseille" (1991, 1993) and "Reims" (1956, 1959) also played in the final. However, this coincided with the periods when the tournament was held in the old format.
Thus, the team coached by Luis Enrique has achieved a first among French clubs in the 21st century, as well as in the entire modern history of the UEFA Champions League. The Parisians previously reached the final in 2020 under the leadership of German coach Thomas Tuchel.
It should be noted that PSG will face Inter in the UEFA Champions League final. The meeting will take place on May 31 in Munich.
