During the hearing held in the Istanbul court, the prosecutor demanded the arrest of Fenerbahce football players Jayden Oosterwolde and Mert Hakan Yandaş.
Lent.az, referring to the "Hürriyet" newspaper, reports that the court hearing was related to the scandalous events that occurred after the Galatasaray - Fenerbahce match, which was held as part of the 37th round of the Turkish Super League last season.
In addition to Oosterwolde and Yandaş, the prosecutor demanded the imprisonment of Fenerbahce club doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık, former Fenerbahce manager Hulusi Belgü, and Emre Kartal, the son of former head coach İsmail Kartal, for a period of 1 year 3 months to 3 years 4 months 15 days.
The state prosecutor wants those listed to be found guilty on charges of "intentional infliction of injuries" and "disruption of public order in sports arenas and damage to sports facilities."
The court gave the suspects' lawyers time to defend their clients and scheduled the next court hearing for January 15.
