The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system worked in the seventh round match of the UEFA Champions League main stage between "Qarabag" and the German team "Eintracht" (Frankfurt).
Idman.Biz reports with reference to "Report" that this was announced by Anar Hajiyev, head of the Communication Department of the "stallions".
According to him, there was simply a communication problem between the head referee and the VAR room at the beginning of the match:
"This was quickly resolved and the match started. The VAR system was in the game."
It should be noted that "Qarabag" defeated "Eintracht" with a score of 3:2. The chief referee of the match was Swiss Sandro Scharer.
