Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed bin Salman is preparing a 10 billion euro offer to buy "Barcelona". According to Sport24.az, journalist Fransua Gallardo from "El Chiringuito TV" shared this on his "X" page.
This amount will be enough to cover the Catalans' debt of approximately 2.5 billion euros.
However, the "Goal.com" portal reports that the prince's desire will not be realized. According to the source, "Barcelona" cannot be directly bought due to its long-standing ownership model: "The club is jointly managed by members who control elections and management, meaning no one can acquire it alone. While the Saudi Crown Prince could potentially invest in a separate commercial arm, a full buyout attempt will be structurally hampered. Even with huge financial resources, the Crown Prince cannot overcome the structural barriers that protect Barcelona's ownership model".
It should be noted that the current president of "Barcelona", Joan Laporta, had previously stated that he would not be re-elected after his term expires, more precisely, after 2027.
